Challenge: Design a Space Container

If you are a K-12 Student in the United States, your challenge is to create a digital 3D model of a container for space. Astronauts need containers of all kinds – from advanced containers that can study fruit flies to simple containers that collect Mars rocks or store an astronautÂ’s food. The ability to 3D print containers in space – on demand – will let humans venture farther into space. That’s why we are challenging students to start designing for space now. It could be a container designed for zero-gravity on the International Space Station, or a container designed for future astronauts on Mars or beyond!
