Jobs: Software Engineer -Web Application / UX Developer, BAE Systems (USA)

Job Description:
Software developer for the Air Vehicle Planning System (APS), a large software application which performs the force level mission planning for air breathing vehicles. The application consists of 2.4M lines of executable code. This position will support the modernization effort of this application using Agile methodologies.  This job requires software development skills with a focus on UX Development/Design or Java Backend Development building and maintaining Web applications. This position requires a Active Secret Clearance.

Required Skills and Education:
Required education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Scientific field and 5 years of experience or equivalent experience.
-2-3 years with Javascript, HTML, and CSS 3, PHP, Ruby, Java, within 5 years of related experience.
-Familiar with Backbone, Node.js, Handlebars, Angular.js, Ember, HTML 5, Dojo, Jquery, Kendo.
-Experience with visio, adobe photoshop or illustrator, dreamweaver, Fireworks.
-Experience with government contracting work.
-Working with users to create functional designs.
U.S. citizen

Preferred Skills and Education:
-Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science
-Mission planning domain experience
– HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript
-Linux
-C++ (Proficient in writing new software and maintaining and debugging existing software)
-Requirements analysis (Familiar with the processes involved in decomposing and deriving requirements)
