Technology Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to develop and mature advanced Electro-Optic system concepts, design brass-boards and prototypes, plan and execute system integration and test and assist in transitioning advanced prototypes to production. Responsibilities include performing systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, originating design concepts, modeling system performance and integrating and testing new systems.  New hires are expected to develop the ability to lead small work groups or program teams. The work environment is fast-paced and presents many technical challenges as well as significant growth opportunities. Successful technical contributors will be comfortable working in mutli-disciplinary teams, present ongoing program work to customers as well as contribute to proposals for new projects.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

1. Perform initial design and develop requirements for firmware/software/DSP-centric hardware interfaces
2. Lead integration and test of firmware & software elements /w EO systems
3. Modeling and Analysis of EO system performance with emphasis on firmware/DSP implementation of algorithms
4. Customer presentations and informal interaction in support of programs
5. Prepare program progress reports
6. Engage in IRAD activities to further the state of the art in EO detection, tracking and related subject matters
7. Support field testing & troubleshooting of systems, often in remote locations

Required Skills and Education:

Required:

– BS in Engineering, Applied Math, Physics or Computer Science and 8+ years experience or MS (preferably with an emphasis on firmware design) and 6+ years of relevant experience
– Electro-optics systems backgrounds with both hardware (design, build, assembly, test) as well as software (MATLAB / Python and C++)
– Algorithm experience
– Presentation skills and technical writing
– Must be a US citizen and eligible for a Top Secret clearance
