Alba Orbital/PocketQube Shop is the world leader in PocketQube satellites and is one of the UK’s most innovative companies. We are looking to add an Business Development Manager, with an emphasis on fundraising, to our small, highly driven team. You will be tasked with helping us raise our Seed round, prospecting potential customers/investors and formulating business strategy. This position would best suit an early stage business grad with preferably experience running or involved in an early stage funded startup.
Responsibilities
Formulating and executing Seed Stage Fundraising
Developing uses cases for PocketQube form factor with different end users
Build relationships with prospective customers including Letters of Interest and MoU’s
Business Development activities including preparing presentation materials, attending seminars and workshops
Assist CEO in preparing proposals
The candidate must demonstrate
Experience selling
Preferable Experience
Knowledge of a Startup company and how it operates differently to a corporation
Be very detail oriented (particularly grammar and punctuation)
Have good communications skills and some knowledge/experience of a commercial environment
Honest and hardworking, with a passion for space
Experience working on a Cubesat
Space Industry Experience
