Jobs: Avionics Electrical Systems Engineer, LMI (UK)

Focus on generating of design data for Avionics/Electrical modifications.  Experience with generating architecture and system layout and installation concepts. Knowledge of Certification Standards for EASA and FAA.

Lead and track medium to large size projects that require coordination of multiple engineers, outside suppliers, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is confident, a team player, analytical, problem solver, self-starter, decisive, energetic, passionate, flexible, entrepreneurially minded.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Help set design requirements
  • Generates Type Design data as well as validation such as SSA’s and ELA, EMI and FT test plans
  • Capable of development into CVE
  • Assist in developing EASA/FAA Certifiation Plans
  • Assemble required deliverables for the project
  • Coordinate data transfer and deliverables for the project
  • Interface with EASA/FAA/Client/Internal engineers/suppliers
  • Provide project guidance toward successful solution
  • Primary Point of Contact for all project correspondence
  • Responsible for project schedule, costs, scope and setting resource requirements
  • Responsible for work change requests
  • Responsible for maintaining an project Action Item Log
  • Responsible for weekly progress report and coordination call with Client
  • Responsible for weekly progress report and coordination call with Management
  • Administrative over site of resources assigned to the project
  • Support Sales/Contracts with pre-sales discussions as well as commercial and technical proposals and project plans
  • Support Finance with revisions to planned costs or billing milestones
  • Project Management training and development

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering required
  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • Sound knowledge of engineering theory and design criteria
  • 8+ years experience in increasingly complex supervisory positions
  • 10+ years of experience of transport or military aircraft structural analysis or in related field
  • 10+ years of experience on multiple aircraft types and systems
