Orbital ATK Space Systems Group designs, manufactures and operates small and medium-class spacecraft for communications, imaging, scientific, exploration and national security space applications. The Group is leading supplier of space components that power and enable satellites of all classes, provides technical engineering services to government agencies and laboratories, and is developing exciting new satellite servicing and advanced space flight technologies.
We have an immediate need for a Simulation Engineer. This person under general supervision will design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs for computer based systems. Perform system modeling, simulation and analysis using scientific and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming and documentation. Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs. Primarily interface with intra-organizational staff with infrequent contact with inter-organizational staff and outside customers and vendors on routine matters.
Develop test equipment and simulation environments for spacecraft and spacecraft subsystems. Debug and diagnose software and hardware problems in a lab setting. Perform system modeling, simulation and analysis using scientific and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develop software system test procedures, programs and documentation. Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.
Design and development of avionics test beds
Provide inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.
Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
Consult with customers concerning requirements and/or maintenance of software system.
Coordinate installation of software systems.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Candidate should be able to work new requirements and assigned tasks with a limited amount of supervision.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Aerospace/Electrical Engineering, Physics or CS and minimum 2 years experience is required
Top Secret Clearance Required.
Microsoft Visual Studio using C/C++, PC application development under both Windows and Linux, Python, Matlab and similar scripting languages, experience with National Instruments PXI instrument programming is preferred.
